Platform Architecture

The architecture of the High Productivity Fintech Infrastructure (HPFI) consists of a hybrid digital core, that can either sit on a legacy core or run as a completely independent end-to-end digital core, a micro-services based middle-ware layer, and a white-labelled highly customizable frontend.

While HPFI can be deployed on-premises, however, we recommend using one of the enterprise cloud providers that FintechOS is compatible with.

Evolutive Data Core

FintechOS runs on an evolutive data model. It extracts data from legacy systems, processes and repositories, moves it to the cloud and enriches it by combining and connecting it with contextual and external sources.

The evolutive data model sits at the core of all banking and insurance products, adapting and evolving as they are operated. It makes hyper-personalized offerings and data-driven business models possible.

With unlimited scalability and no-code extensibility, the data model is open through API and designed for easy integration using data pipes. Read more about Evolutive Data Core.

Data Models

A Conceptual Data Model is fundamental to understanding how data is organized and how data elements are related to one another. It identifies basic data concepts, commonly referred to as entities, and the relationships between entities. Entities are comprised of attributes to define the characteristics of entity records. In FintechOS, you can create a well-defined data structure in database to identify the business concepts (entities, attributes, relationships), define data characteristics and also define how the data is related.

Defining the attributes is part of the logical model while creating the relationships between entities is the physical model and FintechOS gives you the possibility to create a physical data model using FintechOS Innovation Studio Data Model Designer.

Customer Journeys

Customer journeys is the actual process that customers undertake when contracting products from banking or insurance companies. In the context of FintechOS, customer journeys are digital, and can be assisted or unassisted, the former meaning that with the use of automation blocks, customers can interact with bank officers for assistance while opening an account online, applying for a loan, or contracting any other product or service from a bank or insurance company.

FintechOS customer journeys are founded on the Evolutive Data Core which organizes, manages and displays various data collected in a business process. Read more about customer journeys.

Automation Blocks

FintechOS Automation Blocks or Processors offer out-of-the-box enhancements for digital or customer journeys, such as digital signatures, face recognition, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), video calling, customer segmentation, or product definition.

Innovation Studio comes with some built-in automation processors to help speed up the development of full fledged digital journeys that cover many banking and insurance industry needs. In this day and age, security and data protection are important aspects that any enterprise undoubtedly puts high emphasis on. FintechOS pays special attention to security and as such, has built the platform on four pillars of security: Data Encryption, Authentication, Authorization, Data Audit. FintechOS API & Integrations Gateway

FintechOS is geared up to ease the platform integration with both internal and external applications, data sources and third party providers or portals. The platform supports various integration methods to accommodate any preferred approach or overcome constraints:

  • OPEN API – the configured data model and business workflows are automatically exposed through our OPEN API gateway to ensure consistent, real-time integration and business logic for DigitalTouchPoints or third Party solutions (web & mobile) with no additional effort;
  • Bulk data Integration through ETL or Data Lakes processes for d2b integration;
  • Data Mapping – import data using excel or csv structured data files by simply mapping the excel structure with the defined data model and attributes;
  • OCR & NLP – to import unstructured data files – from IDs, contracts, financial statements, enable automatic data input into the application forms;
  • RPA – used to integrate FintechOS with existing systems or legacy systems that only support manual data input. The platform is integrated with bots to ease user experience and journey;
  • Enterprise Service Bus – some customers have EBS in place and all integrations are managed and orchestrated through EBS.
